Alejandra Narron - From Sales Ops to Salesforce Admin
“I’ve been using Salesforce for more than ten years,” she says. “As a sales ops professional, I lived in Salesforce, running reports, tracking opportunities, and helping account executives manage their deals and stay on top of their numbers. It was second nature to me.”
But recently, something shifted.
Alejandra started wondering what it would be like not just to use Salesforce, but to master it. To understand the platform as an admin, not just as a power user. And to offer future employers not only expert-level sales support, but deep technical knowledge, too.
“I realised that the more I knew about how Salesforce worked under the hood, the more I could offer,” she says. “It was time to level up.”
From day one, Alejandra noticed how much thought and care went into the way Dave ran his classes.
“There’s no pressure, no judgment, just genuine support,” she says. “Dave takes the time to explain concepts in a variety of ways. If something doesn’t click the first time, he finds another way to explain it until it does.
When she got stuck on page layouts, Dave didn’t move on, he stayed on the call, extending the session to make sure she understood. You can tell Dave really wants us to understand how to use the platform. Not just memorize answers like other Salesforce trainers i tried.”
“It genuinely felt like one-to-one support,” Alejandra shares. “Even in a group setting, Dave finds ways to tailor the learning to each person. He asks what you’re struggling with, and then adapts the way he teaches to help you get it. That kind of personal attention is incredibly rare, and it made a huge difference for me.”
“Other training programs teach you how to pass the test,” she says. “Dave teaches you how to do the job. He wants you to know how to use Salesforce in real life. That’s what makes this course so powerful.”
One of the best parts of Admin Academy for Alejandra has been the community.
“Everyone in the cohort is so motivated and kind,” she says. “There’s no competition, just people cheering each other on.”
She’s built connections with classmates who share resources, celebrate small wins, and study together between sessions. For Alejandra, that sense of belonging matters as she also is hugely passionate about helping people too.
“It’s a safe space to ask questions and grow. Everyone lifts each other up. That makes all the difference when you’re learning something new.”
Building Real Admin Skills
With access to Dave’s full course library, Alejandra’s building technical confidence fast. And she loves how practical the course is.
“I’m taking tons of notes and reviewing content on the weekends because it’s actually interesting, and fun” she says. “The quizzes and walkthroughs help me reinforce what I’ve learned. It’s not just theory. It’s hands-on. And it sticks.”
When she needed help understanding Salesforce security, Dave even created a customised PDF to help learners visualise the concepts in different ways.
“That’s the kind of personalised support you don’t find in most training programs,” she says. “Dave cares deeply about making sure every student succeeds.”
Looking Ahead
Alejandra is now preparing for her Salesforce Administrator certification, but her vision goes far beyond the exam.
“I’ve always loved working in sales operations,” she says. “Helping sales teams succeed, building dashboards, supporting strategies, that’s where I thrive. But now, I can combine that experience with true Salesforce admin knowledge.”
Alejandra shared how it’s made her think about a broader carrer and how she can now think about the different types of roles she may like to do. She shared’ “Dave is so encouraging... he’s always like, ‘Hey, I moved from tourism into Salesforce.’ So just keep pushing.”
“I want to be the person who understands the sales team’s needs and knows exactly how to configure Salesforce to support them. That’s the value I can bring now.”

Alejandra shared thoughts on what she’d like to do next in her career; “I’d like to work in a human-centered organization in the era of AI where mission-driven teams are putting human experiences first internally and externally because that is what Salesforce about the Ohana Culture.

“If you’re thinking about joining Admin Academy, do it. Whether you’re brand new to Salesforce or you’ve used it for years like I have, you’ll learn so much. You’ll walk away knowing how to solve real problems, not just pass a test. And you’ll gain a community that believes in you.”
